Listed below are some promotional things that have either worked for me and my club or they are ideas that have been passed on to me through correspondence.
I also think clubs, councils, and the state are at a critical point and need to really start sharing ideas, communicating with each other, and learning from each other when it comes to publicity and promotion. Here is a question why are council minutes and club minutes kept so secretive there is a lot of useful information in them about council news, club news, dances and where to find them, and even interesting tib bits. Do you know most new dancers would love to read the minutes but don't get a chance to. So why can't we start sharing that information in a bigger way?

Here are a few things I have learned about publicity and promotion.
1) Not everything works for everyone.
2) You have to adapt the ideas to you and your club.
3) We have to share ideas so that we can learn from each other.
4) It is ok to take risks on occasion.
5) To make a buck you might have to spend a buck

Memorial Day Dance 2010
